Lip Enhancement

Lips play an important role in facial beauty for every woman. Studies have shown that our lips provide an essential component of aesthetics and facial asymmetry and wider and fuller lips are key to female attractiveness.

As we begin to age the lips begin to get thinner and lose definition. The cupids bow – the v-shaped area of your upper lip, can become flattened and the corners of the mouth may start to droop.

Lip fillers can be used to define the lip border as well as add volume to thin lips to give a fuller appearance. Lip enhancement can create subtle enhancements or a more sensual pout.

The procedure:
The lips are a sensitive area; therefore a local anesthetic is first applied to ensure the area is numb. The lip filler is then carefully injected into the appropriate areas. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.

  • Prior to carrying out lip enhancement, a local anesthetic cream is applied to the lips 20 minutes before. This allows the area requiring treatment to be adequately numbed to allow the injection of the hyaluronic acid based dermal filler to be injected to the border and body of the lips.

  • At Skin Made Perfect a local anesthetic cream is always applied prior to undergoing lip enhancement. Additionally, all hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers used at SMP clinic contain an anesthetic within the product, thus reducing any discomfort further.

  • At Skin Made Perfect our Doctor will ensure the procedure will be done following a thorough assessment of your facial structure. The procedure itself takes approximately 15 minutes.
